In each class, we begin with activities that encourage active listening, and end with a playful performance together. In between, we experience selected works of classical music with sensory activities, movement and storytelling.
Through the intricate patterns of Bach, the vibrant energy of Vivaldi, and the emotional elegance of Mozart, the raw drama of Beethoven, the sweeping melodies of Tchaikovsky, the characterful storytelling of Saint-Saëns, and the shimmering soundscapes of Debussy, children are exposed to a huge variety of musical ideas.
They encounter the playful narratives of Prokofiev, the cosmic imagination of Holst, and the bold rhythmic energy of Stravinsky, with each piece inviting them to listen closely, move freely, imagine vividly, and respond in their own unique way.
